Vihiga Queens leaped to the top of the table after a comprehensive 4-0 win over Eldoret Falcons at the University of Eldoret grounds on Sunday 22 September as FKF Women Premier League matches entered round 25.

Vihiga got their first goal through Mercyline Oginga in the 10th minute and would come back better in the second half as Topista Situma grabbed a brace in the 66th and 89th minutes putting the match beyond the hosts’ reach.

Teresa Engesha also got to the score sheet in the 75th minute to complete the rout.

Stand

After their win, Vihiga Queens are currently on 61 points, same to second-placed Gaspo Youth who picked a 2 – 2 draw with Thika Queens on Sunday.

In the match, Thika Queens came from two goals down to salvage a point. Winnie Kanyotu bagged two goals in the 19th and 43rd minutes to hand Gaspo a 2-0 half time lead.
