Wazito get injury boost ahead of Zoo clash

Wazito FC will have Joe Waithira back for selection for when they take on Zoo FC in round 4 of the Kenyan Premier League on Sunday.

The winger has missed the last two matchdays with injury and his return is a huge boost to Stanley Okumbi’s side who are yet to register a win in the three matches they have played thus far.

Waithira, who has been promoted to captain following the absence of team captain Dennis Gicheru through injury, suffered a knock in the opening round draw against Nzoia Sugar.

The big spenders, who won last season’s NSL title to gain promotion to the top tier, will however continue to be without the services of striker Derrick Onyango, at least for another week, with the player still recovering from an injury sustained in the round 2 fixture against Western Stima.

Wazito currently lie in 15th place on the standings with two points and will look to claim their first win when they travel away to Kericho on Sunday.
