Tusker’s second half dominace crushes Sofa in Machakos

A dominant second-half showing from Tusker against Sofapaka at the Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos, saw the brewers claim all three points in a 3-1 win in the two teams’ round 4 KPL fixture played on Saturday 28 September.

After a barren opening stanza, the game sprung into life in the second with Tusker sealing the victory courtesy of goals from Michale Madoya, Hillary Wandera and Luke Namanda with Elli Asieche grabbing a consolation via a stoppage time penalty.

Missed penalty

The win could have been even more heavier had Timothy Otieno converted a first half penalty.

After beging the season with a heavy 5-2 loss away to Gor Mahia, Tusker have now won their last two matches and now ascend to joint top of the standings with seven points while Sofa remain with four points, unable to replicate their huge 4-0 win over Chemelil Sugar last time out.
