Leopards find their claws, Wazito gets maiden win as Bankers sink Homeboyz

AFC Leopards were the biggest winners on Match Day 4 action in the Kenyan Premier League (KPL) played on Sunday 29 September, beating Chemelil Sugar 4 – 0 at Mumias Sports Complex.

On the same day, Wazito FC posted their first win of the season, seeing off their hosts, Zoo FC 2 – 0 away at the Kericho Green Stadium while KCB completed a fine comeback at Kenyatta Stadium in Mchakos to beat Kakamega Homeboyz 2 – 1.

Rampant Leopards

At Mumias Sports Complex, Soter Kayumba opened the scores for Leopards before John Mark Makwata grabbed a brace to add to Tresor Ndikumana’s goal.

The result left Chemelil Sugar at the bottom of the log with no point and having conceded 11 goals in three matches, while AFC Leopards jumped to second on seven points.

KCB – Homeboyz

At Machakos, the tie was settled by the 35th minute as Kakamega Homeboyz’s Allan Wanga’s goal against KCB in the fourth minute was canceled out in the 11th minute by Dennis Odhiambo and Kennedy Owino sealed it with a 34th minute goal to hand the Bankers three points.

At Kericho Green Stadium, goals scored in the second half earned Wazito a 2 – 0 win with Victor Ndinya opening the scored in the 47th minute before Elvis Rupia confirmed the first haul of three points since the team’s return to the top flight.
