The timelines for the 2019 Football Kenya Federation (FKF) elections have been set with the national elections set to be conducted in two months’ time from now on Saturday 7 December.
The full timetable was released on Tuesday 8 October during the launch of the Electoral Board at FKF’s Goal Project offices.
The verification period for all the aspiring candidates outside the presidential race will begin four days from now on October 10 and will be open for five days until the 19th with the Electoral Board conducting the exercise.
The nomination period for the presidential candidates and the NEC members will begin shortly after the final preliminary list of the other candidates has been confirmed on October 22nd.
A one week period has been set to hear disputes that might arise following the confirmation of the final list of candidates with the Electoral Board and Appeals Committee given until October 30th to give their final rulings.
The final list of candidates for all positions will be announced on November 20th.
The same process will be followed for the eligibility of voters whose final list is expected to be announced on November 21, two days ahead of the county elections which will be conducted on the 23rd.
