Bandari Football Club have sent out 19 players for duty in the first leg of their continental encounter against Guinean opposition Horoya Sports Club, a match scheduled for Sunday 27th from 7 pm Kenyan time.
The Dockers, leaving Kenya’s capital Nairobi on Wednesday 23rd, have landed in Conakry according to the team’s official social media accounts and are all set for Sunday’s CAF Confederation Cup clash.
Having taken a connecting flight from Dubai, Bandari landed in Guinea’s capital on Thursday and held some light training hours after touching down. Bernard Mwalala’s men are in this last preliminary round after dispatching Tunisian side US Ben Guerdane in the previous round and could make history for the club with an aggregate win over Horoya- one that will steer them into the group stages.
Mwalala has taken with him two goalkeepers- Michael Wanyika and Musptapha Oduor and also has a clean bill of health in his defense line led by Felly Mulumba.
The attacking trion of Ochomo Wycliffe, Yema Mwana and Wadri William have all traveled with the team and so has youngster Abdallah Hassan.
