
Harambee Starlets start regional quest after exiting Olympic Games qualifiers
The Kenya women national team, Harambee Starlets landed safely in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania on Wednesday 13 November ahead of the 2019 CECAFA Women Championships and will open their quest with a clash against Ethiopia on Sunday 17 November
Starlets headed straight to Tanzania after jetting back from Zambia on Tuesday night following their elimination from the 2020 Olympic Games qualification process.
Group
At the CECAFA competition Starlets will be up against Uganda, Ethiopia and Djibouti after been pooled in Group B while Group A comprises of Tanzania, Burundi, Zanzibar, and South Sudan
Starlets finished fourth in last year’s CECAFA competition.
On Tuesday Kenya will play Djibouti and close their group stage assignments with a game against Uganda on Thursday.
Semi-final
The top two teams from each group will proceed to the semi-final stage of the championship set for Saturday 23 November.
