Newly appointed Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta outlined a change in playing style as his first assignment at the club following his appointment on Friday 20 December.
Mikel, a former Gunners captain, who played for the London side for five seasons from 2011 to 2016 has signed a three and half year deal and is expected to get the struggling side back in shape.
Fast flowing attack
“My first task is to get to know the players better, and get them to play the kind of fast-flowing, attacking football that Arsenal supporters around the world want to see,
He, however, admitted to the changes will not happen overnight as he called for patience from the fans.
“We all know there is a lot of work to be done to achieve that but I am confident we’ll do it. I’m realistic enough to know it won’t happen overnight but the current squad has plenty of talent and there is a great pipeline of young players coming through from the academy.”

Next for the Gunners will be a trip to Goodison Park where they will play Everton
