Tusker forward named November’s finest in the Kenyan Premier League

Tusker Football Club’s leading scorer Timothy Otieno has been named the LG/Sports Journalists Of Kenya Association (SJAK) player of the month for November 2019, the forward, credited with five goals in that month.

Crowned in an award ceremony at Tusker’s training base in Ruaraka, the Harambee Stars forward takes home a 49-inch LG TV.

Currently placed 2nd on the overall top scorers’ chart on 10 goals for the season, Otieno dominated the month of November, guiding Tusker to two wins in four matches and finding the back of the net five times.

He says he somehow knew something was coming his way given the incredible run his team was on.

”I’m happy to have won the award after an impressive run of goal scoring. I knew the award was not far off because of the kind of run the team has been and credit to my teammates and technical bench for helping me get this recognition,” Otieno told the press during the ceremony.

Posta Rangers would go down at the hands of Timothy when Tusker felled the mailmen 1-0.
