Zoo FC came back twice at the Green Stadium in Kericho to hold Mathare United to a 2-2 draw in a rescheduled KPL fixture played on Wednesday 29 January.
Mathare forward Dani Lual netted the opener just eight minutes into the contest, tapping in from close range a James Kinyanjui cross to register his first goal for the club.
But United’s lead would be short lived as just seven minutes later, former Mathare defender Wilson Anekeya would restore parity with a well drilled freekick.
The two teams would remain unseparated for the remainder of the half but after the restart, Mathare would come out the blocks racing and got a deserved lead through Kinyanjui’s superb strike from diatance in the 52nd minute.
Zoo would make sure of atleast a point with a contentious leveler as Collins Neto appeared to have impeded Mathare custodian Job Ochieng before bundling the ball over the line at the far post.
The result left Zoo winless against Mathare in seven league games since the team promotion to the top tier in 2017.
