The Kenya women national team, Harambee Starlets have started preparations for the invitational Turkish Women Cup, with 23 players having gone to camp on Monday 24 February.
A total of 23 players checked into camp, Vihiga Queens midfielder Cynthia Shilwatso expected to join later with the team’s training set for Camp Toyoyo.
Meanwhile, Mombasa Olympics player, Elizabeth Katungwa has requested to be omitted from the squad due to personal commitments.
Apart from Kenya, the other nations that will take part in the tournament are Hungary, Venezuela, Hong Kong, Romania, Uzbekistan, Northern Ireland, Turkmenistan, and Chile.
The final squad of 21 players will be released just before the team jets out to Turkey on Monday 2 March.
A friendly match against the National U16 Boys team has been lined up for Friday 28 February.
