The Kenyan Premier League (KPL) enters Round 22 starting Saturday 29 February, 2020 with eight matches lined up and heading there, changes have been made to a few of the fixtures on the menu.
Gor Mahia, who are scheduled to host Western Stima, have moved the match from the Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos to Moi International Sports Center (MISC) Kasarani. The date of the game remains Saturday 29 February with the clash set to kick off at 3pm EAT.
The match was supposed to be one of a double header set to go down in Machakos and with the change, Kenyatta Stadium will now host just one match on the day – Sofapaka playing host to Ulinzi Stars.
The Sofapaka versus Ulinzi Stars game will thus kick off at 3pm EAT and not 2pm EAT as earlier listed.
In related news, five players will be suspended for the Round 22 action. Tusker FC’s Sammy Meja, who picked a late red card against Wazito FC is set to miss his team’s trip to Kisumu, where they will face Kisumu All Stars.
Gor Mahia defender Joash Onyango will not be in action when his team meets his former employers, Western Stima as he will be serving the second of his two-match ban, having missed the Zoo FC clash last time out.
Oromchan, Osok, Munala
Villa Oromchan of Western Stima will also be locked out of the game, in the second of his two – match ban after missing the draw with Kariobangi Sharks.
Posta Rangers will also miss a man when they face Mathare United, as Elvis Osok serves a one-game ban having accumulated five yellow cards and the same predicament befalls KCB who will not be able to call on Simon Munala for the game against Bandari.
