Chapa Dimba stars make Starlets final roster for European tour

Harambee Starlets head coach David Ouma has named his final squad for the Turkish Women’s tournament set to begin on Wednesday 4 March.

Ouma named his team of 21 players on Monday ahead of the team’s departure for Istanbul on Tuesday.

Regulars Mercy Airo, Gentrix Shikangwa, Dorcas Shikobe and Mwanahalima Adam highlight the list that also includes new faces getting a run-in in the team from the Chapa Dimba tournament.


Sylvia Makhungu (Kariobangi North) and Jane Njeri (Falling Waters) have impressed in the tournament and make the cut.

Starlets, who are using the week-long tournament as preparations for next month’s AWCON Qualifiers against Tanzania, will faceoff against Northern Ireland (Wed 4), Chile (Sat 7) and Uzbekistan (Tue 10) with Hungary, Venezuela, Romania, Hong Kong and Turkmenistan the other nations included in the tourney.
