Wazito FC 0-0 Ulinzi Stars
At Kenyatta Stadium, Machakos, the Wazito FC – Ulinzi Stars clash had more stoppages than goal attempts as the sides played to a barren draw.
A quick flash of yellow cards in the opening minutes, to Wazito duo of Johnston Omurwa and Dennis Sikhayi as well as Ulinzi Stars’ Bernard Ongoma was the marker of a physical game, while the two sides were forced to make injury – inflicted changes.
Ulinzi had to pull out Harun Mwale in the first half and later in the second, Wazito pulled out a limping Augustine Otu.
Ulinzi Stars had a first half penalty shout ignored by referee Dan Ogosi after Omurwa seemed to have nudged Michael Otieno to the turf, while Wazito had their best chance coming in the final minute as Joe Waithira went on a fine run only for his goal attempt to be stopped by Ulinzi skipper James Saruni.
