Six successive losses for Wazito as Rangers turn up in Machakos

Wazito FC suffered a 3-0 loss at the hands of Posta Rangers on Saturday at the Kenyatta Stadium in Mcahakos; with the loss being the side’s sixth consecutive defeat.

New signing Issifou Bourhana put past in his own net in the first half before Rangers captain Joseph Mbungi and Clinton Kisiavuki secured the points in the second half.

The win, which is Posta’s third in four matches, pushes the side up one place to 8th on the KPL log with 28 points while Wazito, who have not won a league game since November, lie in 14th place with 11 points, just three points above the drop zone.

Bourhana was unfortunate to score an own-goal as early as the fourth minute when keeper Kevin Omondi poorly dealt with an in swinging freekick from Mbugi by punching the ball into the Togolese defenders chest and back to goal to hand the visitors the lead.

Rangers would double their lead in the 58th minute through Mbugi’s penalty that had been awarded after Johnstone Omurwa had impeded Ezekiel Okare in the area.

Wazito tried to pull themselves back into the game with substitute Kennedy Owino rattling the upright but that is as close as they would come to getting a goal as in the 90th minute, the mailmen’s new signing Clinton Kisiavuki, crowed off a superb display with the third goal, taking advantage of Omondi’s spilt shot from Okare to thump the ball home from close range.
