Zoo Kericho coach Herman Iswekha says the club is innocent and should not have been banned from the top league. He insisted world governing body Fifa should have banned individual players instead of the club. “We have very young players in the team who do not understand anything about betting. They have struggled to get good results and this news is devastating to them,” he said. Iswekha said the team had postponed yesterday’s training session after the news broke and will convene on Wednesday morning to discuss the way forward. “The players who were suspected of match fixing left the club a long time ago and they are well known as some of them are still playing even now. As it is they have destroyed the future of some very good players. We will see good talent going to waste,” he lamented.
